The only thing is that she told me since I'm only going to be 18w3d at the appointment, the pics may look scary since the baby has no fat. This does not alarm me but I ( Read more... )

I had one done at 18w1d...I don't have them on the computer, but they are pretty freaky. She was all bones and had a creepy looking face, haha! If you google image search "18 week 3d ultrasound" you'll get some up that looked just like mine. I'm glad I did it, we found out then that the baby is a girl, but it was also nice having a second 3d ultrasound when I was 27 weeks, she looked MUCH cuter! Good luck at your ultrasound! :D

We had ours at 20 weeks. She's still very skeletal, but awesome nonetheless! We knew going in that she'd look like a little baby Skeletor and that was fine with us :)

Why don't you just wait an extra week and save your money. Then pay for a 3d when the baby is a chub chub?

I had one done at 16 weeks and the baby did not look scary at all! He looked like a baby but he was just skinny :-) But looked VERY much like my baby boy :-)
