Pre-Eclamsia
I've been trying to figure this out... Is pre-eclamsia CAUSED by high blood pressure, or is high blood pressure one of the SYMPTOMS. I ask because I have been having a lot of swelling and theoccasional headache, which I know can be signs of it, and my OB said it's a bit early for me to be having the excessive swelling that I'm having... but my blood pressure always looks great. I am on beta-blockers for a heart issue, which can lower blood pressure, so I wonder if it is just masking that symptom, or if it is impossible to have pre-eclamsia without the high blood pressure. I have my 30 week appointment on Monday, so they will check my urine and recheck my blood pressure, but it's bothering me that I'm not sure how the blood pressure relates to pre-eclamsia.
