GET THIS BB OUTTA ME.
Everyone thinks I'm batshit crazy because I am past my due date, aiming towards a very natural birth, and don't want unnecessary interventions. I've been only a fingertip dilated since 37 weeks. Mucus plug is still intact, no bloody show or painful contractions. SO FRUSTRATING!
I'm nearing the 41 week mark (I was due March 5th) and starting to get really worried about my appointment with my induction happy OB tomorrow. At this clinic (I had to get Medicaid because my primary doesn't cover maternity), they "won't let" their patients go past 41 weeks because it's "riskier", but I'm willing to wait until I hit 42 weeks to induce. My NST and BPP results from yesterday came back just fine. I made an appointment for another NST on the 15th if I haven't had her by that point. I'm willing to give her time and take all necessary precautions. Obviously, the baby is thriving, so I have an issue with forcing her along if she's not done cooking just yet.
A few questions:
1) Have you ever dealt with a doctor who had tried to pressure you into an induction that was not medically necessary? What happened?
2) Can your cervix just miraculously dilate and ripen overnight and send you into labor?
