Can you have Braxton Hicks without feeling them in the second trimester?
Yes. I certainly did. Sometimes I felt them, sometime I only noticed my uterus was hard. I've mentioned this to my doctor, and she said not to worry unless it was something unusual.
I'm 34 weeks and for the most part can never actually "feel" as BH contraction, I only know I'm having them by touching my belly.
Having just gone through this this past weekend, that is actually what I would do, touch my belly and time them from that. My doctor suggested 6-10 in an hour and I should call them.
Thank you. Now I just have to figure out what is an actual contraction, and what is the usual firmness of a pregnant belly. It's hard because it changes so much depending on how I'm sitting/standing/laying. Also, this is my first baby so everything feels new, naturally.
I'm 24 weeks and confused about this as well... some days I'll feel like my stomach is rock hard all day but I assume it's actually my abdominal muscles stretching that is causing that feeling, not BH (since it is pretty constant). Then again, the gallons of water I drink every day should be keeping contractions at bay. :P
