Thought you guys might find this amusing...people are stupid sometimes!
So we were at the grocery store at about 8pm..standing in line, Ihor(spouse) and I were in the middle of a conversation while the lady was checking us out...I hear a little murmur to my right but I just thought the bagger guy was talking to the check out lady and then the lady murmurs....something, Ihor and I are still in the middle of a conversation. The lady murmurs again and I realize she's talking to me. I apologize and ask her to repeat herself ... "paper or plastic"....she then says "Oh, don't worry, its because your pregnant"...and I'm just like 'what!?'....the checkout lady and the bagger continue talking in low tones..and I still can't hear what either is saying so i smile and nod. As Ihor and I walk out he even says "what did they say?"...well, apparently, I'm deaf because I"m pregnant and it has nothing to do with the fact that they were practically whispering to me rather than speaking normally in a busy busy grocery store the night before hte super bowl (read: everyone and their mother was there buying their grub).
Seriously, it was so loud, every check stand was busy with lines...and this woman is WHISPERING to me over her counter...and I'm seriously in the middle of a conversation with Ihor...
