I am six weeks pregnant and think I'm going to have to get an ultrasound because I'm worried about having an etopic pregnancy because I've been having pain on my lower right abdomen pretty consistently (I'm really worried about it).
The thing is, it seems according to my doctor, that I have to get a catheter to do it (I guess they fill up the bladder to have a better picture or something like that). I really want the ultrasound, and think it's necessary, and sooner than later, but I'm really freaked out by the idea of having a catheter. Has anyone had this done? Is it horrifically painful? I can't imagine that it isn't, because it sounds awful.
Please help- I'd appreciate any input you might have.
