Pediatrician or Family Practice Physician for the newborn?

Hello again, ladies! I can't get enough of this community. Today, my question is about appointments for the baby after I give birth. I'm in my 32nd week now.

I had an appointment with my ob/gyn yesterday and she asked me which route I'd like to go for Isaiah when he is born. She said that pediatricians have even more expertise since babies are their primary focus, but that if I'd like to see her and stay with the family practice, I could do that as well. I like her and wouldn't have a problem with her being my son's doctor. She supports the decision we've made to not circumcise our baby, she gives good advice, and she also makes me feel like she will tell the truth when I ask her questions about things like immunizations. I've got a lot when it comes to this topic.

So, my questions for you ladies are: What is your experience with neonatal care? Is there another reason you prefer a pediatrician over an FPP? I'm sure that the topic of immunizations is one that can be as controversial as circumcision, but I'd also like to know what you all think of them and have done/plan to do? My ob/gyn said that there isn't any evidence of them causing autism, and I don't completely doubt that, but I do think the chemicals and possible reactions are scary, especially since I'm not positive of how well they really prevent these illnesses, and because of how uncommon the illnesses seem to be?

Thank you for your insight and help. :]
