i don't think i've ever posted here before, although i've been commenting and reading around for quite a while...
my name is caroline and i'll be 20 next month.. i'm about 7 weeks pregnant right now and am due in december. something i'm very excited and happy about!
now i feel really silly as i probably should have already known about this.. but i didn't know you could contract toxoplasmosis from gardening without gloves, although now that i've heard about it, it makes a lot of sense. i planted some flowers and dug in my garden once, a couple days ago and just recently heard about the risk.. i feel really silly and a little worried. it was only once, but you never can be quite sure... i'll probably end up asking for a test when i go in to see my OB next month. but (and i know no one can really answer this for me 100%), is the risk really that high for me since i only did it once (and i'm pretty sure no cats have used my garden as a litter box)?
i feel so bad for not knowing about this before! thanks a lot in advance :)
introductions,
toxoplasmosis
