Hi Again,
So, I ended up going to the ER the other night. My one-sided concentrated cramps were not going away and I didn't want to take any chances.
They did two ultrasounds, bloodtests, urine, and all that, and the two diagnoses I got were pregnant and ovarian cysts. As far as being pregnant goes, I was expected to be about four or five weeks along according to the date of my last period. However, my HCG (pregnancy horomone) levels were only 25, and assuming I am that far along, 25 is extremely low. The doctor said either my body is having a forced abortion so my HCG is dropping, or I could simply be only one week pregnant.
Obviously, I'm hoping that I'm just one week pregnant. But it just seems weird... I first suspected I was pregnant and took a test one week ago today. That test was positive, and both pink lines were rather bold. After the doctor told me it could've been a forced abortion, I've taken two more of the same pregnancy test (First Response), and both still say, "Pregnant," although one of the pink lines doesn't stand out as much.
My question is this: does the level of HCG in my body determine how strong the pink line is?
My cramping has settled down, and I'm going to the doctor on Monday as planned. I'm just hoping that I was intuitive enough to catch a pregnancy from the very beginning, as opposed to my body saying, "Sorry, not now."
Thanks for reading, and thanks for being patient with my worried posting. I wish the best of everything for all of you, your families and pregnancies. :)
