Does labour have to start off with very infrequent contractions?
I'm 41 weeks pregnant, and have been having contractions every 5-6 minutes for the past hour and a half to two hours, but I swear I wasn't having any before then. They don't hurt a lot, but they do hurt, and they last 20-30 seconds. Is this likely to be false labour because they didn't start off more slowly and/or aren't very painful at 5 mins apart?
If it makes a difference:
-we had sex a few hours ago
-this is my third baby, but my first two were induced without me going into labour at all, hence the somewhat stupid question ;)
false labor,
contractions
