Not an easy pregnancy so far..

I am 18w1d pregnant.  Earlier in this pregnancy I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma.  I thought I was in the clear after an u/s scan showed the SH to be improving and I haven't bled in about a month, until last night.  I started bleeding again.  Bright red.  Called the dr, dr on call told me to go to L&D.  Went in, the midwife listened to the heartbeat, it was nice and strong...and she did a pelvic exam.  During the exam she told me my cervix felt slightly dilated which is not normal at this stage in pregnancy.  She also said that my uterus feels bigger than it should for 18weeks....not sure if she meant the baby was big or if I could be further along.  She didn't really specify when I asked. The midwife explained that sometimes when this happens they have to surgically sew the cervix shut, but that has risks in itself.  She consulted with the oncall dr.  and he felt it was ok to send me home.  I have a routine u/s scheduled for this tuesday to scan the anatomy.  I have to also have measurements taken of my cervix as well.

This is my 3rd baby and this pregnancy has not been normal at all.  I have not had one normal dr. visit yet.  I'm either going in for an ultrasound or pelvic exam.  Last night was my first time hearing my babies heartbeat as well via the doppler.  Every other time it was not picked up on the doppler and i've had to have an u/s to make sure there was a HB.

I really hope things start to look up for me....this is taking a lot out on me emotionally and I just want the rest of this pregnancy to go a little more smoothely.
