A La Mode 24 : Ciel's New Life
This is KKPC ep 24 review.
~Prologue~
After Cure Parfait's debut, this ep is the time to execute their new theme - Light and Dark. I can feel that the series is checked again by the senior staffs. The series style and setting had been shuffled, such as the sky becomes dark due to the villain not the heroine, making Pikario alive and they simplify the villain's objective - just collect kirakiraru and build a dark world. At the same time, they force Ciel to join in KKPC daily life. As some comment said, Ciel doesn't need to attend school as she has a shop. I can see they try not to make Ciel too perfect, so that she can dependent to KKPC. the ep story setting, which Ciel changes back to Kirarin due to hunger is not appealing at all. They try to make Ciel school scene funnier, but it ends up a weird story. On the other hand, they build up more school setting (like the principal's appearance). Hence, from this ep onwards, we can consider as a new start to KPPC part 2. The fight is still Parfait dominant, the actions are ok, but KKPC battle planning is just repeating Parfait's initial strategy.

She doesn't even need the teacher to introduce (the typical transferer scene, Rio also has such scene, but it is omitted for Ciel), since she is a celebrity.
As the twin sister of Rio-kun, she also does something to affect the series?

Later, the principal sees this empty box like seeing rubbish.
With the help of Ichika (by a gag?) and Himari, Kirarin successfully escape from the scene.
I think it is not a big deal, including her hunger loses her human form...hunger can endure, even if she can't, she can take any food along. Also, the scene here, even the principal discovers her, she can pretend as a doll (all Precure mascots know this trick). If the principal put her to somewhere, she can escape by herself. Therefore, the story is actually nothing, these escape scenes can't make any tension.
The solution is still eating lunch. Talking to them is just an extra. Well, she just forgot to bring her lunch.
After lunch, she changes back to human...
by the way, is the secret of changing to human just eating a lot...? if so, Pikario will have grudges even more.

As the first debut, he gives us a grand appearance!

Grave: Me? I am Noir's cadre, Grave.
Comparing to Bibury and Elysio, his design is more brilliant.

Last week, we can see the beautiful transformation and attacks are built from Pikario's death...and the main point is Pikario is disappeared in Strawberry Town, not Sweets Mountain!
Toei finally remember the Sweets Castle! When we thought this castle should be similar to Precure castle...
We see Pikario is sleeping here! How they know Pikario is here and why Pikario can sleep here is a mystery. Anyway, after Toei's thorough check of the story, they think that Pikario's death causes more problem (I had listed last week). As there is no objective for Precure, now Pikario builds up an objective - Precure needs to collect kirakiraru for Pikario...maybe?
Not only transformation and attack, but also power up lollipops are built from Pikario's death.
Custard: What is this?
This is power up item definitely, if you had watched YPC5 ep 24, you will understand what happen here.
Parfait: So we will show our individual new attacks in the future eps?
KKPC:....maybe....
Although the plot change is quite awkward, I am glad that Toei is willing to alter in order to make the series go back to the right track (hopefully).
As Parfait joins in KKPC, OP has to be changed. According to this change, they are not going to have the OP with different lyrics like MGPC...even so...such lazy op really can match FPC OP2...
Setsuna/Passion still can find some places to join in the OP, even the OP is not nicely done....but here...they can't even put her in the OP...they haven't finished the drawing, or they just leave this black history here...we will see in the coming eps.
Now we have to treat this as a new arc again...Why the base looks like SmPC...
I mean...the bridge...is it a corner of SmPC base? but how about the house where Julio stayed in the past?
Grave is so special that he is willing to make the servants by himself.

Elysio: Besides complaining Noir-sama, you'd better think how to defeat Precure - who defeat Bibury.
Toei really put efforts on the plot that they even ask Elysio to mention Bibury, so that they manage to link the villain cadres...

For Elysio, as his colour scheme and the costume are similar to Julio, even he is more handsome than Grave, I don't think his design is brilliant.

If this is the first time you watch this series, you may think that Ciel is falling in love with Genichirou.

She quickly joins in Genichirou's Karate doujo...if she is not falling in love, why so fast?
What is this scene? Like Regina visits Mana, isn't it? By the way, will they keep this setting in the future?
When you read her hunger scene in Sweets Mountain, and then you watch here...you will think that why Ciel can't endure when the girls show their lunch boxes?
I had read the comment that the villiain only absorbs customers and sweets, but in my opinion, they absorbs everything! It is because you can't identity which one is the customer, although they show a restaurant scene. Looking at the left picture, they are just citizens.

How do you deal with your shop?

Recently, they sometimes change the corner to PreAla Let's la Decoration...I think the reason is some of the cooking are repeated, only that they put different decoration, such as cookies, cupcake...another reason may be...they find out the difficulty on continuation of cooking lesson for the future eps...thinking of 20 recipes is very good indeed...but thinking of 49 recipes maybe...so sometimes, esp. the story atmosphere change, they cut the corner.
Ichika: I have an idea!
Um...according to the ep, Ichika only takes in charge of the decoration. Others are made by Ciel + others...it just allows Ichika's bad cooking in the future. By the way, Ichika's setting has a conflict - since she can't make a good sweets, why she can cook curry for her father (and Ciel)? She is supposed to be good at cooking or bad at cooking?
