Character Relationships
▌hijikata mamoru
Mamoru is Haruka's only canonmate in the City and also her appointed bodyguard from home. Long story short, she has foreseen him as her future husband, and feels safest with him more than anyone else. Considering the amount of kenjutsu skill and survival instincts Mamoru possesses, Haruka chose pretty well.
▌roronoa zoro
Zoro was Haruka's stand-in for Mamoru until Mamoru actually showed up. However just because her bodyguard is in the City doesn't mean she doesn't want Zoro's company anymore. He tried to shake her off once but that's not happening. Haruka doesn't want to see anyone around her die or get hurt or any of those things, so it's a little hard for her to see him drinking 93 glasses of alcohol, or bleeding profusely, and then not really caring about it. She's still figuring out him and the world he comes from and why exactly green hair is natural.
▌himuro maruko
Himuro is one of the few people Haruka remembers from the last time she was in the City. Currently living with her on Hell Tower's 10th floor, however a little away from all the boys on the other end of the hall. She doesn't like the tension right now between her roommate and Zoro, but isn't sure what to do about it - or if it's even her problem. In a way, though, she thinks it's her fault. Zoro wouldn't have even met Himuro if Haruka lived elsewhere.
▌bakura ryou
Bakura is also someone she remembers from the last time in the City. She's still pretty traumatized by his recent death, but is happy he's returned and seems... as well as he could be, I guess. Working together also at the toy shop. Still getting to know him even after all this time, but the idea of maybe cooking together or something similar sounds nice.
▌abby boylen
Met upon being invited to play laser tag. Still not too familiar with her, but Haruka likes her personality. Definitely someone on her list of people to get to know better.
▌hiruma youichi
Another one on the small list of people Haruka remembers. She's only spoken to him a couple of times but Himuro knows him so he can't be all that bad...
▌trowa barton
Another Hell Towers resident, but only really seen in passing. Though it feels like he already knows her even if he hasn't said anything yet.
▌dr. hank mccoy
A teacher at Xavier where Haruka goes to school, but also someone who helped her during the "bubble crisis." Sent cookies on Valentines as a thank-you.
▌kiryu kyosuke
Fourth-walling goes here - my other character Saitou was a close friend of Kiryu. However he's dropped, so Haruka talks to him now in Saitou's place. She knew him from last time and knows a lot about his past, but doesn't judge him for it. Only slightly afraid of him, but still someone she'd consider trusting.
▌alastair krajac
Not someone she'd consider trusting. After the fiasco with Alastair going berserk with Bakura's death, Haruka's staying clear of him like nobody's business. Even if he said sorry. Still on her crazy-people list.

Reminds her of Bakura, and another person she sent cookies to on Valentines.

Someone Haruka really appreciates. Not only because he suggested Xavier's to her for school, but also showing her around and helping her figure out the premises.
▌monkey d. luffy
Not too sure about him. She's okay with him being Zoro's nakama, but he just seems a little... well, unique. But he seems fun and nice and very... spontaneous. And very strong.

Another one of Zoro's nakama. She's a little stunned by how long he's been in the City, and hopes she's not stuck that long herself - having Mamoru with her now is better, but she still misses her makeshift family with the Wall. Sanji she finds charming but also just an interesting person altogether, especially after all his efforts when stuck in the hotel in December.

Met as another person stuck in Hotel Hell in December. Another helper of the "bubble crisis", but also someone Zoro dislikes hates. She's not too sure about the whole vampire thing, or eating the red off of a fire truck, but maybe they could get along still.

The man Haruka gave information to regarding the Joker's shenanigans about a month ago. She knew from watching the network about his involvement with the police, and knew he could help out in the mall shootings. Not sure if Mamoru's okay with him, though.
▌vic sage
Someone she spoke to briefly when Mamoru!shadow was around. Still sent him cookies, but never really got a response. Not sure if she creeped him out or what.
▌jonah matsuka
Another of Bakura's friends Haruka is close to, and a fellow employee at the toy shop. He seems to mean well, but Haruka isn't sure about this whole Keith thing that went on and with Melee's death resulting. Mostly worried for him considering what Haruka's foreseen in Matsuka's future back in his own world.

Someone who helped during "bubble crisis" also. She knows he has a good heart, but is a little concerned with how he reacted to the real world and how unkind it is.

Haruka sympathizes with Lily because of Lily losing her mother (for a short time), considering Haruka lost her own. However Angelica Einstellsehn gives Haruka more than just a few bad vibes. But going to school with someone like Lily is nice.

DOES NOT UNDERSTAND HIM AND HIS DISLIKE OF SCHOOL. Haruka could probably see his way some day but not likely, considering Haruka's just happy she can go to school as herself. He was nice at first but the insistence he has over not going to school and doing whatever at age thirteen is just weird.

Talked to her during her first network post upon returning, seemed very welcoming and offered a hand around the City. Kept in list of people she thinks are nice and helpful.

She's very unhappy he was also stuck in Hotel Hell way back when, but thinks he is a good kid (which is weird for a thirteen-year-old to say) and likes his personality. The flying thing is pretty cool too, except for the fact she worries about him running into things, or whatever other irrational worries she can think of.

Replied to her post asking if people were the only ones from their world. Haruka appreciated the sympathy.

Another replier of above-mentioned post, but Haruka finds her especially interesting considering the time Gemma is from. Must look into more.

Haruka hasn't taken Terra's offer for a shoulder to lean on just yet, but may in the future. Knowing someone like Terra is around in the City makes her feel a little bit more at ease.

Not exactly sure what's up with the screw in his head, but is also not sure if she wants to know.

Briefly spoke to the first time Haruka was in the City, and also someone she goes to Xavier's with. Appreciates that Lyra kept notes for Haruka in class when Haruka was stuck as a... puppy dog girl thing or whatever it was supposed to be. She hated that week - no thumbs.

Mixed opinions go here for Spike. She wants to understand him, but knows he's dangerous. And he also killed Bakura. But he also understood her pain about being hunted. Very mixed feelings about Spike.

Another one of Zoro's nakama that Haruka wants to get to know better, but doesn't know very well at this time. But for some reason she predicts it as a bad idea to let Nami know that Haruka wins consecutive lottery tickets.

Met first at Hotel Hell, and then second at Abby's laser tag. He seemed helpful so she's keeping him in that good-person list of hers.

Helped out during her first few weeks in the City second time around with an envelope full of winning lottery tickets. Well, he said he needed cash, and he was a superhero, so... that's okay, right?

Hasn't spoken to since first time in the City, but Haruka felt oddly at ease with Batgirl and talking about recommended places to eat. She would have liked to talk with her more.

Helped out Haruka with cameras in the MAC the first time Haruka was in the City. The idea of someone else possessing psychic powers was intriguing and also a little sense of belonging.

Never really got to know him very well considering he only gave her text answers, but whoever the person was, they were nice to talk to.

A Japanese voice in the City first visit was comforting, though the girl on the other end seemed strange.

Offered Haruka a room during the cameras-in-the-MAC-bathroom situation. Seemed like a very charming person and probably had experience as a mother, but Haruka was already offered a place by Himuro by then. Also not sure about staying with someone else's mother - might bring up bad memories.

DISLIKE from the hotel incident by far. Especially with not getting a personal apology (which Haruka would have liked but never personally asked for.)

A little sad George is no longer with us. The idea of having someone who didn't know anybody, like herself, and having them as a friend was comforting.
