Um, Helloooo Puppy?

So, I was talking with my mother today about "Puppy Dog Tales" and explaining that I really needed a puppy. For research purposes. Innocent ones. I swear... But that it had been so long since I was around a puppy that I wanted to be able to really get the mannerisms and attitude spot on. But sadly no one we knew had a puppy or puppies for me to borrow. So I figured maybe one day next week I'd go the shelter and ask if I could just play with their puppies. Which I'm sure would be a very odd request. *laughs*

Then, upon returning to Grams' after spending hours at the coffee shop torturing Sirius planning world domination with xellas and sethkyne_blue, I walked into the house through the back door and set my stuff down on the kitchen coutner. And there was a scratch at the door. I looked behind me and there was a dog at the glass door. No, correction. There was a PUPPY at the door.

I went out to see him, and he was utterly friendly. A shepherd/rottie mix that's probably 6 months old. So he's at that gangly, feet too big, need to chew on something phase. And he's probably 45 pounds. No collar but obviously well-loved and hasn't been gone long though he was very thirsty. But we are a bit remote up here on the hill and surrounded by acres of citrus groves.

So he's currently sleeping on the floor at my feet. I saw a missing puppy sign down the hill tonight, so I shall call them tomorrow and see if they can identify him. And after that I'll put an ad in the paper to see if someone has lost him. Poor thing. He's really wonderful.

So, to make a long story short ("Too late!"), the goddess is a odd, but beautiful provider.
