Because I do not know what else to really talk about I think I should talk about my future college plans! As of now I want to get a double major in Pre med and Molecular Biology. I want this so that just in case medical school doesn’t work out, then I have my bachelors that I can fall back on and go on to graduate school. But assuming plan A goes well. I intend to finish up my basic courses here at Collin college and then continue to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for my bachelors degree. Afterwards, I hope to attend Emory Medical School and then because Emory has a partnership with the CDC I would have a better chance of getting into the CDC. I hope to work for the CDC in the division of Bioterrorism Prevention and Defense or the Special Pathogens Branch. Ever since I took a medical microbiology course back in High School, I have become consumed with a fascination for the microbes that surround us everyday and all the time. Few people realize the power that these microbes have over our lives. Disease keeps us from getting minor injuries for fear of infection, disease makes us cook our foods to decontaminate them, and disease even effects us on a genetic level! Regardless of what way disease may affect you, I as a scientist am completely and utterly fascinated by these microbes and look forward studying them with the brightest minds the world has to offer.
