So let’s talk about brave new world! Aldous Huxley wrote this amazing story of a utopia back in the 1930’s. It was basically a society in the future that was controlled by a few groups of people known as the world controllers. These people dictated literally everything that society did. They even had human beings engineered and conditioned to do what they were predestined to do. Human beings are predestined to do various things like be a sewage worker, a healthcare worker, and so on. Each of these people are deprived of oxygen according to how intelligent they ought to be in their future job. Also society is separated into obvious social classes ranging from alphas being the highest to the epsilons being the lowest. This future society is at best questionable because it is so strictly controlled and freedom is virtually non existant, however, society is free from war, disease, and any other negative stimulus. Without these negative stimuli, the people are free from pain and suffering, therefore it causes an obviously upsetting state of mind in that of the third party observing it all. I really think that yal should check the book out some time, it seriously addresses philosophical issues like abortion, death, freedom, justice, and free will. If you like to think I think that this book would be great for you!
