It is done, well almost.
Thursday, I made a few phone calls to Purdue and then sat down at the computer and filled out my on-line application for school. I mailed my money and my requests for transcripts out and I am now waiting to hear back from a few of the schools. I received my transcript from OJC Friday via fax and my high school transcripts today in the mail. It has my SAT and ACT scores listed, which is something else I needed. I'm now waiting for Bel-Rea and PCC to send their transcripts. I only need 16 to be considered a transfer student, so I'm hoping that with the last two I will surpass that number. I'm not quite sure if you lose credits over time or not, it's been about 10 years since I've been in school. I have 12 credit hours with just OJC, so I shouldn't have any problems with meeting the criteria, I hope.
I'll be applying later tonight for some grants and such, because it's not cheap going to school as most of you know, and this will all be coming out of our pockets. I'm hoping if they accept my application at Purdue, that I can find out if I still have any benefits left over from when I was in the National Guard, I sure hope so. Once I receive the last two transcripts, I'll be sending them in to Purdue to complete my application process. I'm a little nervous, but I'll survive. I need a change of pace for work, and getting an eduction with the little piece of paper that states Bachelor's Degree on it, will at least let me know I've accomplished something. I'm hoping that once I'm finished, I'll be able to move onto something better. Maybe with two years of school under my belt, I'll be able to look at something different that will be more beneficial for Tom and I. I've been very fortunate for someone in my position, and I only have God to thank for that.
Other than that, I've been busy working on cleaning my house,trying to get registered for school, dealing with work, and various other activities. I can't wait until April!! I buy my plane ticket to Florida on Friday, and I'm so looking forward to the trip! YAY!!! Gloria! I hope your ready for me, I feel all giggly like a school girl! ROFLOL! And yes, I saw your picture! :P I just haven't sat down and posted a reply!
I'll get around to getting back on IM soon, I know I've been off for awhile and not able to chat with all of you! So, I'll *wave* and say hi to you all and hope you're doing well. Got to jet, It's my Monday night for serving. ;) Oh, have I told you all lately how lucky I am to have Tom. ;) *sneaks up on him and pounces.* *big grin* *sinister grin*
