I had my first Czech lesson yesterday. After being here for nearly 2 years it's time I learned the language. It was a difficult first lesson, but I understand about half of the grammar and some of the verb endings, or suffixes. I look forward to going to more classes.
It was enjoyable, but I’ve joined a group that has had 4 lessons already, so I’m at a disadvantage to begin with, now I have to catch up once I buy the book. It’s convenient though as class is really near work so I can go from meetings to class in 5 minutes, awesome stuff.
Also, found the class course book I need, its at Shakes & Sons.
My internet has been crap and unreliable this past week, works about 50% of the time and I begrudge paying for it when it doesn’t work most of the time, and its always when I really need to do something for work.
Picked up more teaching hours this week, so its an even more crazy work schedule right now. I've already found myself comparing some of the Czech I learned with the English equivalent and using them as examples at work.
Life is moving almost too fast to keep up, lets see, Febio Film Fest happened, Easter round the corner, and concert season not too far away. I think Tori is coming to Prague this year, I'll find out which other bands/singers are coming. Tokio Hotel, played, just missed them.
Budapest! will be visiting there later this year.
