A roommate that didn't sleep or use a bed. John couldn't imagine never sleeping, but that was part of being human (or troll), so it was kind of a dumb comparison. Ultimately, he supposed it just meant that he'd be alone in his room a lot. John didn't imagine he was very fun when he was asleep, and this room was too cramped to just hang out in. Still, he liked Wheatley. He was a pretty awesome robot buddy, and nice too, which made the whole thing basically perfect. John missed his friends and felt that worry gnawing on his brain, and would need to get back to them soon to finish everything, but who would blame him for thinking this was cool?

Wheatley's big blue eye pointed behind him, and John turned around to see what he must have passed over as pipes and wiring. He tilted his head to look more closely at the thing, and now that he had, he could make out legs and arms. Oh my god.

"Is that another robot?" he asked, and spun back to face Wheatley, who was the expert on robots for all intents and purposes. He couldn't wait for a full response (and it would take Wheatley about a paragraph or so of talking to get to his conclusion anyway) and so he hurried over to inspect... whatever it was. This one had nothing really solid in the middle of it, which made it look sort of skeletal. More in a cartoony way than a creepy way.
