I just saw one of those pregnancy test commercials that's all excited about their high-techness (which, though not the subject of my random rant, is a stupid enough premise for pregnancy tests), and the voiceover goes something along the lines of, "It's the most advanced piece of technology you've ever...::ahem::...you know.."
WHY IS IT TABOO TO TALK ABOUT PEEING ON A GODDAMN PREGNANCY TEST STICK? WE ALL KNOW THAT'S HOW YOU GET THE RESULTS! I can understand maxi pad ads (teehee rhyming), because, um, ew--I don't even like to think about my own period if I can help it, but I'm not even saying we need to visualize what's going on. I just want to know why the voiceover dude can't say the words "peed on"--WTF, advertising world, you make no sense.

My rave has to do with a new coffee combo that I tried--iced coffee with toffee nut flavoring. Mmmm tasty (or T-A-S-T-E-Y as Fergie would spell it).
