London Pt. 2
I'm back after a day of sightseeing in London. We got back from Glasgow at about 8:30, and was into the city proper at about 9:45 or so. We got checked into the hotel, and called out tour manager about catching up the to the group. They were off on a guided tour, and by the time we would catch them, it would be over. We had free time in the afternoon. So we just went off on our own. I took down some notes from the tour manager, and was able to get us around pretty good.
We rode The Underground (yes, the same one that was bombed) to the area of London that has Big Ben and the London Eye, which is the largest farris wheel...someplace. It's huge. Anyways, we went on that, and then we went on a boat ride up the Thames to the Tower of London. Along the way we went past some other things, such as the globe theater. At the Tower, I was almost attacked by a raven. Those things are evil. They drink blood. Scary. We saw the crown jewels, which were so pretty. (I can hear you mocking me George!) After we were done at the Tower, we took the Underground back to our hotel. We had a stop a short walk away.
