Eight days straight at work
I just finished working eight days straight at the orange county convention center... watched and shot lots of volleyball. The times I was shooting went by pretty fast. You get used to the rhythm of the sport and anticipate who is going to hit and when. I started shooting when I figured I would hear the contact, but then I started getting lots of shots with arms in the way, so I shot a bit before.
Today I worked from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. I switched from the convention center to Disney and shot some tournaments. Really intense and talented girls. It was like watching ping pong balls move back and forth. Some P.R. dude came by and looked at the pictures from the tournament. He got some of the ones I shot for press packets or something. That's one thing I don't like about the job, I don't own my work. It's all owned by Disney. Oh well, I guess I'll have to work up to the next level.
