I've just realised it's been ages since my last post, so a bit of a round up is needed.
First off, I've replaced the cars' rear wiper motor and it all now works spiffingly. I replaced the blade as well at the time but it then got vandalised a couple of weeks afterwards so I've had to replace the wiper blade again. Anyway it's all shiny.
Been watching Firefly over the past few weeks with Cathy. I actually quite liked it. All we've got left to watch now is Serenity, just to finish the whole Firefly thing off. I live in hope of rumoured returns to the screen of this great little series.
As for Cathy. Well we've been up and down a bit over the last couple of months. Mostly the downs have been due to crap popping up in her life that's kind of needed to be dealt with. On a lighter note though, we're going away this weekend, so I'm looking forward to that.
So in preparation for the weekend, I topped up the screenwash fluid (from empty) and then checked the oil level. A dry dipsick wasn't a good look so I've put some oil into the engine and I'll be keeping an eye on levels over the coming weeks. In July it will be going for a service, come hell or high water. I may actually get the Poles at the garage down the road to clean the engine, if such a thing can be donw without it breaking. The mileage cout tripped over 190,000 miles on my way to work yesterday, so she's doing well.
To top it all off, this afternoon I've discovered that my daughter and her mother aren't getting on, to the point of Kia moving to her Nan's. Needless to say I'm not happy about this arrangement. There's not a lot I can do from distance, but I just know things wouldn't be in this state had events not gone the way they did 12 years ago.
