A Cornwall Hiking Holiday (Part 1, the touristic one)

Jun 28, 2012 23:42

The first part  of this posting will be a very normal touristic description of a holiday. The second part (in a few days) will be one with very big slashy Pros goggles!

The last time I had been to GB (London) I was 17 years old - and that's really a long time ago ;-).

Now I have been to Cornwall hiking for about 12 days and it was great! If you want to have a look at some photos I took just go ahead.

On the way to the lodging there was a halt at Jamaica Inn - Daphne du Maurier was living here.

Hiking along the cliff coast with such a impressive view is fun and *very* relaxing.

Beautiful Prideaux Place (often used for German tv movies with ... let's say... a bit less average scripts, based on the books of Rosamunde Pilcher)

The importance of having a cream tea - now I know it!

Trebah Garden. Here I became acquainted with the Brazilian Monster Rhubarb. I am standing under the rhubarb and looking up (Believe me I am more than four feet tall !).

Hiking along the coast again. Forgetting all worries and every trouble.

Writing on a bench. (Could have been an interesting man or woman :D)

Falmouth

Lost Gardens Of Heligan

Lost Gardens Of Heligan - two artists just used the stone lying on the ground and changed and added a bit. Now it is a lying lady.

Well... ;-)

Hiking near St. Ives

I solved The Famous British Riddle: "Where is Avalon?" It's hidden behind the green, but there is a bit of the roof visible :D

A Pub named "The Red Lion"!

The beachside of St. Ives

How can one tell the difference between an English and a German woman walking in St. Ives?
This is an English woman.

This is a German woman.
