Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

I just saw the pilot of Aaron Sorkin's new show, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (which from now on I will be calling Studio 60). The reason I saw it is for reasons I don't quite understand NBC has made the pilot available for rental on Netflix. Anyway, I watched it and I heard somewhere that it wasn't getting good reviews (not sure where the reviews are but...). Anyway, I liked it. Aaron Sorkin's writing is just "wow." It's witty and smart and just so enjoyable. This episode was 45 minutes long and I swear I checked the timer thinking I was 20 minutes into the episode and was disappointed when I saw that there were only 5 minutes left. And back in the day when the West Wing was the West Wing I remember the episodes just flew by and I would look at the clock thinking there was a half hour left only to see there were 5 minutes left. The show's good and if all the West Wing people start watching it, stick with it and get friends to watch it then the show's going to be a success. This is me telling all my friends to watch it. Although Wingnut friends, it does take some getting used to seeing Brad and Tim and not think "hey, where's CJ?" but that's okay. I have to say that so far I'm really liking the pairing of Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford. Well I was just very happy with what I've seen so I wanted to share it with all my friends. Next month it'll premiere Monday's at 9:00 cst which is the same time as CSI:Miami but honestly let's weigh are options here David Caruso or Aaron Sorkin, Bradley Whitford & Matthew Perry...hmmm, David Caruso or Aaron Sorkin, Bradley Whitford & Matthew Perry...wow, there's a tough decision (ahem, sarcasm.)

The show has an official website now: http://www.studio60theseries.com/ Check it out!
