CONNECTION TO CANON: They meet the boy's on the train and introduce themselves to the twins. They are just starting out at school, so some of their conversation feels... off. Four years pass and they pull pranks off with the twins. We find out that Fred despised Cedric Diggory for his win. Sorry, but four years later isn't Harry's forth year. Yeah... the first chapter is them getting into the boat. They're going to the match too. They run around despite the fact there really isn't more room for them while Harry is there. The fanfic is rushed and it bounces back and forth from them being girlfriend and boyfriend to them not. Linday is upset that Karen and Fred being together isn't a “top item”. The last chapter involves Karin disappearing for some odd reason.
ORIGIN: Who knows.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: They have the task of showing Fred and George Weasley what “true friednship and true love are. Together , they will discover just what the power of love can overcome.” Yikes... spell check tried fixing friendship for me. The Suethor spelled it that way. They kill the twins by yacking their ears off. Well, that doesn't happen but the first chapter is them spilling to much to the twins.
NOTES: There are two chapters dedicated to the Yule Ball entitles part one and part two. There is an author's note at the end of chapter seven. Apparently Keira Knightley will be playing the role of Lindsay and Katie McGrath is going to play Karin.
SAMPLE:
Karen and Lindsay withdrew their heads from the window and set off down the corridor. They walked for a good way until they spotted an empty compartment and made for it. However, just as they reached for the handle, a boy shot from nowhere and blocked their path. He sneered at them and said, "Compartment's taken."
Karen stepped forward and put her hands on her hips. "No it's not. There's no one in there unless both they and their luggage have invisibility cloaks on." Lindsay clapped a hand to her mouth to stifle her laughter.
The boy glared at Karen as she looked steadily back. "Maybe you didn't understand me; you are first years and I'm a third year."
"So what?" Karen replied.
"Yeah, we got here first so it's our compartment," Lindsay added.
"Wrong," snarled the boy. "Seniority wins; now move before I make you!"
