I know that in few places 14 is considered as legal age of consent and all that, but still... creepy. We must face the truth however - most of Suethors simply ignore the fact that canon characters are the age they are and write them as adults even during first year (how many times there was wild sex in Hogwarts Express?)

Third thing - it somewhat reminds me of one other fic (that with Harry's magical trunk :P). Especially ancestors references (Le Fay and founders?)

In the UK the age of consent is definitely 16 and this all smacks off creepy-taking-advantage-of-a-minor-fanatsy.....bleh!

Age of consent differs from country to country (in Europe it's lowest in Spain - 13. In Poland it's 15 in some it's 18 etc.) Silly thing is that in some countries it is as high as 21 o.O but only for homosexual intercourse (ex. 18/16 for heterosexual). I have absolutely no idea what authorithies wanted to achieve by this (you are by all means an adult, but you can not have sex legally?)

Actually, I would have to read fic first to tell. As for now, I stand by my theory that it's just ignoring age of characters and imagining them as adults. Thinking about it, there are few fics that correctly remembers they are children. Or maybe I'm overhelmed by fics from this site :P
