i'm pretty sure i just mentally puked because of the horrible, horrible toxic level of OoC in the entire sample.
Why Why Why do Sues insist on destroying what the characters Are and substitute it with mind boggling characterization like This?????
I'm cringing so much over this.
Harry comes across as someone with no intelligence whatsover, like the sterotypical stupid brother on a bad sitcom.
I have not been around many 11 years old lately but i'm sure that while they have their less developed-intelligence moments or stupid moments they do not sound like that.
second... just because draco malfoy called his parents "mother and father" instead of mum and dad, that definitely does not meant the potters would. specially not the potters.
second I want to hit the sue in the head with a giant saucerpan.
Why Why WHY do sues get the impression that a sister from harry, and daughter from lily and james potter would be interested in the Dark Arts? with or without Voldemort?
or be polar opposite to all of them?
All HATE HATE HATEEEEEE how it's so obvious that she makes all three potters dumb or slow and her oh so "mature rebellious and misunderstuuuuuud~

i mean if she wanted to be all "dark magic" why can't she be Snape illegitemate daughter with bellatrix or whatever?
also WTF? Snape. would. never. be. friends.with the potters. except for lily. Period. SPECIALLY Not Godfather. EVER.
also i sure hope to all level of mercy the fact that both Snape and sirius are godparents is not meant that they are together.

I don't have a problem with Snape being Harry's godfather, on the idea that Lily might ask him to be as an olive branch and he wouldn't refuse Lily. That being said, he's not going to be chummy or hanging around, particularly not with Sirius around.

well except James is also harry's parent and he probably wouldn't automatically make Snape godparent to his child. SPECIALLY if he calls one of them "Brat"
come to think of it, another MAJOR FAIL on the suethors part for not having James or Even lily reacting to Snape calling harry Brat.
because Cannon james and lilly would have None of that detrimental name calling.
infact james would probably Hex snape for calling harry a brat.

I agree that it's unlikely, as that would probably be something that James would fight, but if Lily insisted as a peace-offering she could possibly get James to agree. I find it unlikely, but I would be willing to accept it as a possibility.
That being said, I agree with what you said, there's no way that they'd let Snape call them anything like that. I could see Sirius getting away with it, as a pet name kind of thing, but that's because he's Sirius. Snape is too dour for them to assume he's having fun (and not at their expense). Plus James would be looking for any vindication to remove/lessen Snape from his doorstep.
On that note, Snape wouldn't be this "casual uncle" type, particularly with the children. If he'd be involved at all, it'd be to stay/get back in good graces with Lily which means he'd be civil and proper at all times with the kids. Except when Lily and James aren't around, at which point he'd use them to try to sabatoge their marriage.

I can imagine it now. Snape using the kids to break up the Potter marriage and failing every single damn time. That'd be a great fic on its own right. 8D
Instead of Snape being Godfather though, how about we keep him as a college professor and everytime he kids go to Hogwarts he smarms them up and tries to get them to like him so they would hate James or something. XD
I dunno. But I am deliously tickled at that idea that I can forgive anyone for writing that fic and completely disregarding canon if it was funny enough.
Ok, not a total disregard for canon. It's only fun if Snape wasn't a complete romantic dope with silky raven locks.

I disagree. I got the impression in book 5 that by their fifth year, they really weren't that close anymore, and that him calling her a mud-blood was pretty much the last nail in the coffin.

That's how I feel as well, but we don't truly know how things went from there. Yes, Snape did some irreparable damage, and no I don't think he'd ever be a godfather to any of their children. But honestly we don't have enough information to know for certain and I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt if it was written well or logically following those events.
