TITLE: The Flame At Hogwarts: Year 1 Does this mean we are in for seven years of this?

FULL NAME: Bethany Hant aka "Flame"
SPECIES: Fire fairy/witch
HAIR: "fiery fad hair" - I'm assuming she means "red"
EYES: "orange"
MARKINGS: "a pair of smooth blue, silver and gold wings coming out of my back". This a far better placement than the face, but less discreet than the ankles.
POSSESSIONS: diary, a temper, Rinn, who is "a Kryee, a large, grey wolf like creacher who comes up to my waist he is also my familiar". It is painful they they are not together for long periods of time. She has her own clothes: "peasant dress with a split skirt", "a light, pale green medieval style dress (one of the few styles she would wear)". She doesn't have to wear the Hogwarts uniform (black robes) because it's "too heavy and constricting". She gets tons of points from me, though, for including the pointed hat! And yes, Flame wears it. She has two new BFFs: "Madeline (o.k. Maddi) and Evangeline (o.k. Evvy)".
ORIGIN: She is from "a small island a two hours row to cost off the shore of New Brunswick in Canada". She lives with her mother, who is a witch. She "discovered" her fairy powers when she was nine. She starts Hogwarts at the age of eleven, during Prisoner of Azkaban.
CONNECTIONS TO CANON: Is sorted into Hufflepuff. Dumbledore ticks her off because he informed the staff (rightly so) about her special needs. Snape doesn't like her pet dog being in her class, and tells her to remove the dog from the classroom. She gets very angry at Snape that her special needs are not being met. Then just before DADA starts, she sees that Rinn and Professor Lupin are staring at each other "in a battle of wills". Maybe that's the OTP of this story, as we haven't really seen too many other canon characters.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: "I'm a fairy a Fire fairy to be exact this means that my powers are with fire". Well blow me down! I thought they'd be connected to water, or the earth, or moonbeams. She repels Dementors with fairy magic (creating light to counter their "darkness"). Also, "although I might not be able to speak with my mind I have a bit, scratch that, a lot of the gift called emotion feeling or more correctly empathy. I'm an empathy that means that I am able to pick up on others and project (send out) feelings." She has "mental shields", as well. Potions skills, which she inherited from her mother.
NOTES: She started out very innocent, and I really didn't mind her too much. Then she had lots of attitude with Dumbledore and I lost any good feelings I had.
SAMPLE:
I enter and sit in front of the desk; the Headmaster cleared his throught and started to speak. "Bethany- "I glare at him, I hate it when anyone uses my full name Maddi and Evvy learned that last night after I through a shoe at them. "I go by Flame" I say rather sternly. He looks taken aback and is I can feel it with my empathy. "Flame-" He begins again "I have taken time to inform the staff of the fact that you are a fairy and your gift of empathy". I glare at him again "I was hoping to keep it a secret" I say icily while feeling my body heat up and start to tingle, hopefully I won't get any more annoyed or I will start to give off sparks. "They are sworn to secrecy and you are free to tell the other students or not" he said. Good, because I don't want it spread around the school that I have special powers. "That is all" he said "you may leave before you are late for your first class". I continue to glare at him until I am out the door.
