TITLE:
The Ravenclaw Witch Year OnePERPETRATOR:
Noari SUE-O-METER:
(bad)
FULL NAME: Thalia Lockhart
SPECIES: Witch
HAIR: not described
EYES: not described
MARKINGS: none described
POSSESSIONS: new books, wand, "A beautiful, smokey gray female, with dark talons, who was named by Thalia - totally by coincidence - Ravenclaw"
ORIGIN: Lockheart's attention shunning, last-name hating daughter. Is happy to go to Hogwarts to get away from her dad.
CONNECTIONS TO CANON: Lockheart's daughter. Sits with Draco on the train. He acts like a jerk, as usual. She will be sorted into Ravenclaw.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: "She had more knowledge and power than even He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named!", but doesn't share that tidbit because she wants to have friends at Hogwarts, and not be shunned due to her expected fame.
NOTES: The Suethor claims to know that you shouldn't make a character "the most powerful", but feels it's not a Mary-Sue because she isn't bragging about it. A Mary-Sue is not created from the bragging, but from the fact that she is more powerful and knowledgeable about magic at the age of eleven than Voldemort. She also invokes noob status, which is sort of negated if she knows that OC characters shouldn't be "the most" anything.
SAMPLE:
"Isn't it exciting, Thalia," her father said, "that you've been accepted to one of the finest schools of witchcraft?"
"Of course, Daddy," Thalia said sweetly, hiding her disgust and trying not to gag. "And I already have some of the books, because of you."
Gilderoy laughed. "Of course you do. They mostly use my books to teach, considering I'm one of the greatest wizards and writers."
Thalia giggled. Her father thought it was because she enjoyed his little speech, but she was really laughing because she knew her father wasn't a real wizard. Her witchcraft was better than most of what her father's books described, but that alone was her first secret - She had more knowledge and power than even He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named! But... Because of her hatred and disgust for attention, she kept all to herself, and she was hoping to keep it that way - Nobody would like her if she was the most famous thing in Hogwarts, and she was hoping to have some friends for once in her life.
When it was time to go to platform nine and three quarters, Thalia rushed, but was careful not to forget anything - The new books she bought, the rest of her supplies, and her new owl - A beautiful, smokey gray female, with dark talons, who was named by Thalia - totally by coincidence - Ravenclaw. She stuffed the books, her robes, her new wand, and everything else into her trunk, and told Ravenclaw to stop perching on her arm and get inside her cage. Then, she came out of her room, all ready to be swept away to a new life - A fun and interesting new life, full of new people and new experiences.
"I'm ready, Daddy!" she called sweetly. Gilderoy walked out of his writing room and saw his daughter standing there in her new clothing and her bags packed. Ravenclaw hooed.
"You look absolutely adorable, Thalia!" Gilderoy said. "You'll be the center of attention at Hogwarts!"
Hopefully not, Thalia thought.
