Isn't TBI a bit strong?

As for the actual story, I've actually never been for this idea that being magical protects you from magical elements. I mean, I get the fact they can take care of things such as a cold, but things like cancer aren't going to be things wizards are ahead of because they wouldn't have the same scientific understanding of cells mutating in the same way I don't think they would have a good handle on things such as mental illness and disabilities one is born as. I'd include things like characters being born on the spectrum, but this also ties into the fact there are certain things there isn't any kind of fix for, magical or not.

This - if the writer is really a younger writer I do have to wonder how much the newer and younger writers are influenced by others in fandom arguing that there are certain issues where there are not. Which isn't to say the series is perfect. I'm not fond of Ron/Hermione nor did I ever go for the fact there are couples in real life who also argue because that was the main thing they had going for them. I also don't feel destroying the locket made Ron's issues going away, but it in fact turned Hermione into a trophy to win. I'm not fond of Harry/Hermione either though because I don't like how they preach about knowing the canon better than Rowling and the rest of fandom.

That said, my own OTP - Draco/Hermione - definitely has it's problems. Most miss out on the fact the ship definitely needs a slow burn in order to work, but some of the tropes used are down right creepy. That said, I'm not sure the writer gets points for reversing who is doing the creepy stuff.
