I remember in a HP site, in the comments (that I stopped reading because I have often wanted to hit something when it happens) after the first official photo of Draco in the Prisonner of Azkaban, how the fangirls cried and shouted and wailed that the stupid filmmaker didn't read the books because they changed Draco hairdo and stop the gel.
"How can they do that!"

This nice capillary helmet never existed in the books. Draco never wears gel. Never.

The most he took was 20. He only threaten with 50 points. And often with a good reason, like talking in classes, rudeness, fights in hallways and else.
Yes he's cruel, sadic and what you want. But he's not stupid. He'll found a good reason, one which won't make DD furious.
If you think 150 points is horrible, I remind you it's Mcgonagall who took them from her House.
