Authentic insults? (as stated in the comm info :p)
Yup, I've been wondering what offensive and vulgar words would mostly fit into the mouths of the PotC characters --
Anyways: "wench" and "whore" sound realistic, but what about "tramp", "bitch" or "cunt" (obviously referring to a female person); as for male parts of anatomy, "cock", "prick" and "dick" all sound somewhat modern to me (though then again, I'm not a native English speaker so it makes all this 'historical accurateness' even more difficult ;) )
Or, does it sound believable to make Jack yell "fuck you" or what would be a more 18th century equivalent to that? ;)
Making mistakes in something like this is probably not so distracting than to make 'em 'unzip' their breeches, but anyway...
