Oh my GOD! This is soooooo lovely and wonderful and sweet and painful and tooo shorrrrt! More! Please more.
Fave bits: His strict yet fair command over his sailors, coupled with a sudden shyness when speaking with her, gave him a side she rarely saw in the gilded peacocks and snobbish Lords she witnessed every day of her life. Plus he owned a pair of stunning green eyes that could challenge the depths of the sea itself.
With this you made me fall for him. Damn you people, I was never a Norrington girl!
devouring her mouth - noble fingers running trails of fire across her cheeks - lips slightly opened and kiss-darkened
All of this...guh...just...blummin' fantastic!
And yes, let us punish the wicked torturedwriter7 for her Norrybeth inducing ways- for I too love it. What shall her punishment be?

Moving on.
The key to Norrybeth, in my most humble opinion from my own personal experience, is that it has to be believeable. And Pre-CotBP makes the most sense in my head. Sure, she knew Will and everything, but Norry would be in her presence much more, and she was impressionable and blah blah blah. But I do love my James. And you wrote Liz beautifully.
Great job, chick.

Norrybeth (or with an i, however it's spelt!) is growing on me with each passing moment, although still only pre-CotBP. Anything with Norrington in it is good with me... although I'm not a fan of Will/Norrington stuff x3

It's funny how after DMC came out, you didn't see much Will/Norrington anymore. There was a helluva lot of it after CotBP, along with Will/Jack, but Sparrington seems to be the order of the day.
As to Norri(y)beth, I don't ship them in the conventional sense. I've written a ton(ne) of fic about the two of them, with ratings from G to NC-17, but they never have a shmoopy, healthy relationship. Theirs is an angsty, angry relationship, IMO.

This was very beautiful, and wonderful since I, who hates Norrybeth, absolutely loved this. Lovely imagery, lovely characterization. Lovely, lovely job ^^
