Title: Nostalgia
Prompt: First Times
Characters: Elizabeth, Will, Norrington
Pairing: Will/Elizabeth, Norrington/Elizabeth

Word Count: 430
Author Notes: This is all Torturedwriter7’s fault! Turning me into a bloody Norrybeth fan with her lovely drabbles >.<
Set during Dead Man’s Chest (apart from the flashbacks, which are pre-CotBP). My first crap attempt at Norrybeth, a pairing I’d never thought I’d write in a million years. And poor Will, I keep comparing him to different people x3

----

Elizabeth had never told Will he was not the donor of her first kiss. Second, yes, but not the giver of that unique moment, not the first alien lips to capture hers in that instant of dreamy semi-consciousness when she became a true lady.

Snuggled close to her fiancé’s chest, Elizabeth let her mind wander. Two years before she developed feelings for the blacksmith, young Miss Swann had greatly admired Captain Norrington. His strict yet fair command over his sailors, coupled with a sudden shyness when speaking with her, gave him a side she rarely saw in the gilded peacocks and snobbish Lords she witnessed every day of her life. Plus he owned a pair of stunning green eyes that could challenge the depths of the sea itself.

Her own hazel eyes drifted across her current fiancé’s shoulder, covertly landing on the man so different from the one she remembered. Life had been cruel to James Norrington the past few months, but a bit of dirt and the removal of his powered wig and smart uniform didn’t mar his handsome face. Those eyes remained the same, no matter how shadowed and haunted they had become.

Will hitched her closer, lifting her chin with the pad of a finger to place a sweet kiss on her closed mouth. Memories of lips softer than his flooded into her mind, no beard or moustache scraping across her skin. So tentative and gentle, yet hot, passionate, devouring her mouth like a piece of succulent fruit. Will didn’t seem to notice her distraction, work-roughened hands stroking through sun-bleached hair. James’ hands had been larger, noble fingers running trails of fire across her cheeks as they cupped her angular face to his. Elizabeth had had to rise up onto the toes of her slippers even as he leaned down, unsure where to place her hands, finally settling them palms-down upon his broad chest. His heart-beat thudded sharply under her touch, reluctantly pulling away to gaze down at her, lips slightly opened and kiss-darkened.

“Elizabeth?”

Elizabeth blinked back to reality, finding Will peering at her, concern written clearly across his face. He tilted his head, brown waves of hair falling across his forehead. “Are you alright?”

Elizabeth nodded a little too quickly, clearing her throat. Her neck was beginning to tingle with heat, cheeks no doubt turning pink. “Yes… Yes, I’m fine.”

Will smiled with relief, pulling her back into his arms. Elizabeth rested her chin on her shoulder, glancing at the taller man stood a few feet behind them. Emerald eyes dropped immediately to the deck.
