Breasticlecake!

Jan 01, 2011 00:14

As I lie on my couch, with my homebrand cheesecake balanced on my boobs, I can't quite believe that it's New Years Eve. I still can't quite Christmas (which was rather quite excellent) has been and gone, and now 2010 is on it's way out.
It's been a Good Year but with a few Shit Things thrown in for the hell of it apparently but overall it's been Good.

Good things: Seeing Amanda in concert, Amanda blowing my fucking mind, Hugging Amanda, Jimeon, Regina, The perfect weekend Ali, Cath and I spent up in Wellington seeing Regina (seriously, best holiday evah!), Turning 22, Bill Bailey, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Swan Lake:On Ice, The excellent tea/dinner parties we've had, The Easy A(possibley the best movie of the year), paddling around the Lake, receiving a yellow ukulele from Ali and lots of other things that are escaping me at the moment!

Shit Things: The Earthqauck, number one of course, and all the bloody aftershocks! Once again, I am sure there are more shit things that have happened but the Earth having a rocking rolling time under our feet pretty much dominates the Shit Things section. To quote the song "The Way We Were": 'Misty watercolour memories, may be beautiful but yet, what's to painful to remember-we simply choose to forget...' My memomories of Saturday 4th September 2010 feel very fuzy, and I can feel my brain trying to forget the fear only to be taken back to the time of the Big One everytime an aftershock takes me by surprise. Which happened again about an hour ago. Cath and I can't help but get the giggles, tho, of how deep my voice was when we think back to the moment we realised that it was an earthquack and were screaming for each other. We've since discovered that's my "panicked voice" ^_^
I am very, very, very gratefull that all my friends, family and aquaintances were/are safe and no real damage done to our houses. And I hope it continues.

I'm going to do a year in review now!

January: I'm very pleased that Cath didn't mess up donut day ^_^

February:My nose is leaking.

March:International Theme Dinner Party=Done
Dishes=Done
Enjoyable Evening=Done

April:Here are two of the best lines from the rom nov entitled "Innocent On Her Wedding Night" by Sara Craven for your reading pleasure:
"She was ready for the new and astonishing reality of his body sheathed inside her, and the gentle rocking of his loins against hers."

May:I had many Lolz tonight, had a great time at the Crunchie Comedy Convoy (Don't listen to my knees, they were just komplaining because my legs are too short to reach the ground from any chair I sit in) but now I is a bit sleepy.

June:Went and saw Streetdance 3D tonight and bloody well loved it! Was there ever any doubt,y'all know I'm a sucker for a dance film!

July:Dear Customers,
Please don't be arseholes today, I do not think I can handle it without succumbing to a homicidal ramage.
All the Best,
~Jen
P.S. Also, please don't crinkle your money. I fucking hate it when you do that.

August:It will never cease to astound me how fucking STUPID people can be!

September:Omg, what a day! Not how I imagined the morning starting: Cath and I standing in our doorways screaming for each other and I got just a tad hysterical (by a tad I mean alot), it's funny now but so not funny then.

No posts for October or November :-(

December:Hello, peeps!

And that's it, how exciting. Whilst I've been writing the clock has flicked over into the New Year. Cath and I managed to haul ourselves up off our couch/chair to give each other a squidge and performed a very mumbley rendition of "Auld Lang Sine" and Cath has had her first whizz of the year ^_^

I hope everyone had fun at the party! I had fun spending the evening watching Doris, Carey, Spencer, Katharine, Fred, Ginger and Hercule and eating delicously stodgy things!

Righto, Onwards Upwards and Forwards! 2011 is (hopefully) going to be Great!
