When she woke up and felt like herself, really and truly herself for the first time in seven years (seven years that never actually happened), there was no question what the first thing she had to do was. She flew, because she could. She wore the bracelets and the tiara and her uniform, because it was real and right. She flew until she found him, until she could almost feel the warm glow of the lasso.
She landed and smiled at him, the first really real smile in seven years (that never actually happened). "Hello."
