The Mage of Moodswings and the Knight of Rage
WHO: Sollux and Karkat.
WHAT: Looting computers.
WHERE: The Truth or Consequences research labs.
WHEN: Backdated to when Sollux first showed up.
WARNINGS: Completely innocent and law abiding trolls. And by this, I mean swearing, violence, and a general lack of propriety.
SUMMARY: Sollux and Karkat break into the "abandoned" ToC labs to steal a computer for Sollux to write viruses on. Things, shockingly, do not go as planned.
Sollux had patiently waited for Karkat to lead the way to the labs (despite the fact that he knew he could get there so much faster on his own) letting himself enjoy the fact that he wasn't as alone as he had thought he was. The knowledge that the others, especially a certain princess, were trapped in their doomed universe was still painful - but at least now there was hope. If he and Karkat had somehow ended up in the same place, there was a chance for the others too.
For now, the only thing he could do was make this strange new world more comfortable for himself.
Making sure to approach the lab doors real casual like, Sollux pushed at the handle, only to find that it wouldn't budge. Oh, well, damn it. It was probably locked from the outside. Leaning against the door while trying to look non-suspicious, Sollux's eyes lit up with a familiar red and blue glow as he clumsily slapped at the inside of the doorway with his psionic reach.
After more rattling than was probably necessary, the door eventually popped open. Real smooth. Only not.
"Okay let's...let's not make anymore noise than that."
