WHAT: BFFers reunite and discuss things too special for the network.
WHERE: Truth or Consequences. Sollux's motel room.
WHEN: At some point during the afternoon after this.

This dimension sure knew how to rub a guy the wrong way. After spending the better part of the hour bitching at people over the network who were largely too stupid to understand the elegance of a clever typing quirk, Sollux opted for a less aggravating perusal of his phone's basic functionality as he waited to Karkat to show up. Despite the noticeable dent his best friend's continued existence had put in his depression, his mood was still swiftly declining.
His other friends were still probably doomed, his phone still sucked, and Truth or Consequences New Mexico was still too much of a shit hole to have better equipment available. Sollux found himself glancing out the window, a lot more eager to see a friendly face than he would have been willing to admit.
When a chat with Karkat Vantas was your cloud's silver lining, your life was in a very sorry state indeed.
