(no subject)
I just spent a while playing guitar for the first time in probably about 6 weeks and now my chord hand feels very hot. I know it's because I've been flexing it and moving each finger independently, etc, but it's still weird. Playing/singing felt good though.
Lisa, Andy and Mark are coming round in a while to bake cakes and to drink and we're going out for cocktails later. Woo.
Yesterday was my birthday and was uneventful but nice. I went to the Laing gallery where there was an exhibition about dance, but it turned out to be crap. And to the library. And then spent lots of time watching tv/playing good old fashioned computer games, and Lisa stayed the night. The night before I had a birthday dinner with Jenny, James, Ant and Katie as Lisa and were supposed to be in harrogate for my birthday. But the amount of snow put paid to travelling. Bah. But the meal was very nice, a restaurant called Rosco's. A bit on the expensive side but good food.
2009 didn't end especially well, with Brian and I breaking up, but I started the year very grateful to have such good friends. And a great boss as well. And today I have utterly sorted my life out - clean house, all bills paid, all money owed to me collected, all washing done, the gerbil is about to be cleaned out. So I'm *finally* ready for a new year!
