So, despite the negativity of the work part of my last entry, I now think that us moving to Punch may be a good move. They actually seem willing to put money into the business, the people all seem really helpful and we've had visits from most of the important ones already and it feels like we'll actually be able to move forward. Hopefully anyway :-) My sales days seem to be paying off as well, with the international society coming in for a social, the american football team wanting us as their after-match venue and the gateshead american football team having booked their awards dinner with us. Awesome :-)
And from a relationship point of view, Bri and I are now officially official, we told Chris today and he was absolutely fine, he said that that was how he and Stacey started out, and he couldn't imagine us causing him a problem. Then Brian went out with Doug and a few more people, so they now know too, so I'm sure that by tomorrow everyone else will know! Certainly by Thursday, which is my next shift. But its going really well, I like him a lot and he thinks I'm awesome. Which is really all we need! And as of today we are officially boyfriend/girlfriend. Yay.
On Sunday we drove out to Alnwick castle, but when we got there we decided there wasnt really enough time to go round and do it justice, so we're saving the inside of it for another day. Instead, we went to oe of the country's biggest second-hand bookshops, called Barter Books. It's inside Alnwick's old train station and it was AWESOME! Possibly the best date ever. I didnt find anything I wanted to buy, but it was really cool. Then we had tea and cake, and then he took me to work. And today he popped round just for half an hour when he really should have been at work, which was really nice :-) So, we are all good.
In other news, I have bought a very pretty black corset and black elbow length gloves so that I can dress as a witch for halloween. I'm at work til we close, but after that it's party time :-) although we have a staff meeting at 9.30 the next morning, followed by work for 3 hours or so, so I really shouldnt get too drunk. Meh. That has never stopped me before! Plus, its only a restaurant shift so it should be fine.
Tomorrow night is the Idlewild gig, which I'm really looking forward to. Then on Monday it's Kids in Glass Houses, then Biffy Clyro on Wednesday. This month has been/is continuing to be AMAZING!
