Oh what fun. I booked a flight online for my trip to NY. I was to leave at 1000 from Norfolk. Pete found a cheaper flight out of Newport News so he took that one. I was going to have to wait for him in NY. He left this morning at about 700 and I was going to finish getting ready and head out about 8. At 730 the phone rings and it is a message that my flight has been canceled due to maintenance issues. I could call to reschedule on another flight. The only thing they had was 230 arriving at 4ish.
I called Pete and told him he was going to have to wait for me, i think his flight arrived at 130ish. I got here about noon and did all my check in things. I had the iPod and my book and I was good to go. At 200 the arriving plane came in and I watched the people unload. The counter worker went down the tunnel thing and came back and started typing. Reminded me of the guy on the Gay Sketch Comedy. She then said that the air conditioning unit on the plane need maintenance so it was going to be about an hour. Then she said that the next plane coming in was a 415 and we would all fit on this plane.
I called Pete again and told him that I wasn't going to be there until 6. I began to wonder if I should take this flight anyway because of the maintenance issues. I pulled out the laptop to see if there was another flight I could get. The web was a 6dollar pay for the day. I went to pull my wallet out and nothing. I didn't have my wallet. I pulled everything out of my bag. Nothing. I went back to the security area and they had my wallet there. She told me that she had paged me but I guess I never heard it.
Anyway, here I sit not really knowing what time I am going to get to NY.
