I Was Forged In A Different Fire
Im home once again. Luckily the Marine Corps has given me 27 days home on Recruiters Assistance/Leave., this way I can spend time with my family and friends. It doesnt happen very often so im fortunate to have been given such an oppertunity. Anyways MCT wasnt too bad, it went by pretty fast. I threw live grenades, shot a few different types of Machine Guns. I learned a lot of new things. we did 3 hikes, a 3 mile, 6 mile, and a 9.3 mile, all with heavier packs on our backs than the last. We hiked up this mountain, So I felt accomplished. It was altogether a good expereince, leanred how to read a 6 digit grid on a map learned how to patrol. The plane ride home was long. However when we were at the USO in L.A. One of the actors from Star Trek was there signing Autographs for all us Marines, that was pretty cool. They also had a shit load of food, good stuff. I talked to my love today, I was supposed to call her back but my phone died, oops, lol. Sorry babe. Anyways Im home for 27days like I said already, and then im off to Fort Leonardwood Missouri for like 48 days for schooling, and then I dont know where im going. Im sure Ill be in Iraq within the next year. Some of my friends from bootcamp were told they were going around March of 06'. Damn thats quick, lol. Oh well. Kill Bodies right? ;) Anyways Chrissy is supposed to come out today, yayness :) :) im excited. Its not everyday anymore I get to see the Woman I love. So im ecstatic. :). But Ill try to write more later.
