I, Kelly, have hit an all time low.
Today, during my "I'm wasting time on e-bay" time, I looked up...dare should I say it......
Diamond Engagement Rings.
I know, I know. "Kelly, you need to have a boyfriend first....then, you know...be together for a while...then get the rock."
Well, I'm kinda tired around for him to fall into my lap, so I'm taking matters into my own hands.
Well, not really....but it's fun to think about a 3 stone diamond white gold engagement ring (Marquis in the middle with princess cut on the side, if you must know) being placed on my left hand.
Yes, I have always been the girl to dream that her Prince would ride up on a gorgeous horse-doesn't have to be white ( hell, it doesn't have to be a horse...these days it's a new car....without spinners people!). He'd whisk me away and we'd live happily ever after together.
I know it's a fairy-tale and maybe it's my own foolish fairytale (though I blame Disney....)
Back to the diamond thing.....if you look particularly close to ebay, there might be one that proudly proclaims "HARDLY USED" on the title. WTF? What would I do with a fucking HARDLY USED RING? A symbol of a failed relationship, banished away to some unsuspecting soul, a greatful disposal and a horrific regift. I want mine picked out of a jewelry case. I can afford to be picky. I'm only going to get married once people. And I want a ring that shows it. Not a rock, it doesn't have to be seen from space. A little "bit of shine" would be nice.
So I guess that's why I'm going to England people....to find the person to put that gold white band on my little finger. "I'm gonna trap me a Brit!" Mum was joking about it the other day. She was like "you'll call home and say 'Mum, I've met the man I'm going to marry. And we're going to live in England.'" Great. So now it's jinxed. Though I still love ya Mum!
Anyways, you all probably have more imporatant things in your lives to get back to. Just letting out my minor aggressions. Perhaps this could be a book. 20 and single.....hmmmm. Going to work some kinks out.....
