Man, I haven't been the the fleamarket in two weeks. Maybe I'll go today.
I rented one of the more hyped-up games being talked about right now, Soul Calibur II (GC version). At first I didn't like it, but after playing it for a while with Ryan I realized it was a great game. I rented F-Zero GX at the same time, which unfortunately I don't like as much.
Friday night I went to my first football game, and for the first time I actually paid attention to the game. The reason: we were losing 22-0 and the opposing team had girls on it...no, the team wasn't all girls, but it had two girls. We weren't sure if they ever played, but they were definitely girls. Wacky.
Interesting how things work out sometimes. Friday afternoon after the pep rally Cassie told me that she'd lost her pocket thesaurus (how tragic), and I had asked Meghan if she had an AIM screen name (which she didn't). I was walking to my bike with Ryan, who of course wanted to ride it, when I realized that I'd forgotten to see if Meghan was going to the football game. Trivial, yes, but I'd feel silly running back there just to ask that. Then, on the ground right at my feet, I saw a small pocket-sized book. I knew exactly what it was before my brain even registered it, and not only was I able to return Cassie's thesaurus but it also gave me a reason to go back and ask Meghan if she was going to the game (they were both in the same general area). She said she didn't know, nor did she go, but I still like how it worked out.
I finally got the ruling pens and did some inking last night, and I really liked how it turned out. I still need to master the art of not letting too much ink out, and unfortunately it tends to bleed through the paper I use (which is just standard copier paper). Also the stupid seal came out of the bottle and ink spilled in various unfortunate places, causing my dad to flip out and some irritation. Luckily it wasn't as bad as the time I spilled paint on my carpet, and things are OK now.
I found a turtle in the yard while I was mowing yesterday. When I picked him up to get him out of the way, he did something I've never seen a turtle do: hiss at me. Weirdness. When my mom was going to close the garage door later that day, the gasoline was in the way and she was freaking out for some reason. I finally went to fix the problem by going out in the garage and moving the gasoline, which really set her off since I didn't have my shoes on. She really exploded there, and we both were pretty angry: I because she was being ridiculous and she because my socks were going to be dirty. Right after that Ryan was at the door and I went over to his house, but when I came back we both apologized to each other.
Man, I still have dried ink on my fingers. How annoying.
