So on Monday I graduated from Acadia University with a Bsc in Environmental Science.
On Thursday I got paid 7.15 an hour to unfold, insert flyers into, and refold newspapers.
Such is the life of a university graduate.
Seriously though, this has been the first summer I haven't had a "real" or consistent job, and it is kind of interesting. I have been going into the Labor Ready part time office just to get whatever, and have applied and/or had interviews at some other places. I had a job being a knife salesman but I decided perhaps it wouldn't be that enjoyable.
I would be really concerned about my job situation if I was completely done school and this was it.. But considering I know what my plan is, and will likely be able to pursue a real job after I graduate from Kings, I'm not that upset.
Plus.. folding newspapers is honorable work .. Right???
