So, school has begun, which sucks ... Despite my schedule being really easy this year (3 classes.. none on Tues/Thurs except 1 lab), I feel as if it's going to still be a hectic schedule due to my extra curriculars. These are ...
SMILE leader - This is the program I'm involved in at school where students are paired up with kids with special needs and they work towards developing the childs skills and abilities by creating and reaching goals. I was a volunteer for the program last year, and this year I've decided to be a leader, which will entail a bit more responsible, and will occupy my Tuesday and Thursday mornings (so no sleeping in for me :(
The Ath - This is my school newspaper. I'm the science editor for the paper, and therefore I have meetings to attend, articles to write, and other such things to go to in order to get news stories.
Info desk - I have a job at the information desk at our students union. It's only two shifts a week, but it will still take up some time. Plus, there's so much random crap that you have to know at this job, that I feel I should spend some time 'studying', so I know how to do things.
That's about it .. That should take up a lot of my time, on top of school work.
In other news, I really love living off campus. It's so much nicer having an apartment than it is living in a hole in the wall with a bunch of other people you may not even like. I wish I had moved off campus earlier.
I randomly bought an XBox as an impulse purchase several days ago. That has proven to be a good addition to the house .. Although Dub bought some nerd games for it, and he plays them a lot, tying up the TV. Like right now, he's playing some Dungeons and Dragons game. Seriously, what a dork.
