But, you can make up any situation and have it turn out as an example for luck....
What if some idiot raises with 36o because he doesn't know any better, then it comes to a pro who is holding AA, and he raises the idiot all in. Idiot calls, and board comes.

Pro outplayed idiot, had his hand dominated pre flop, but got unlucky. It's a bad beat.. it happens.
However, these perfect hands aren't going to occur frequently, so a player who only wins pots when he gets really lucky situations won't win. That's the thing, good players can lose, but they only get their money in there when their chance of winning is long term profitable.
As for your specific straight hand .. This could happen ... And it's possible a good player could get trapped, but it's also possible they could get out of it. By the way the opponent reacts to their bets, they could likely tell if the player was on a draw. Also, if there was 4 cards to a straight on the board, it wouldn't be a wise play to call any significant bet by someone who could very well be holding that high straight card.
I've seen pros properly lay down a full house when they knew it was beat by a higher full house... Now THAT would take a lot of skill.
Also, if you think it's 60 percent luck, that is the majority .. So, do you think poker pros and people who make a living playing cards are just luckier than others?
