Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder VS. Out of Sight, Out of Mind
I´m a believer in the former. With absence, we forget heart-sinking despair and the twisted tug-of-war between heart and mind. We forgive and forget - being made to feel unwanted, being stood up, being burned. Yes, time may heal, but absence makes us only remember what was good - the option. having someone to call, knowing someone wanted YOU.
Oh, how I wish I could obtain the latter. To forget with absence, no nagging questions, nor lingering what-ifs. Oh, to forget with absence, but instead, I remember.
