out with the old
ok, so i'm going thorugh a lot of shit and pulling out clothes to get rid of cos i haven't worn them in along time or they just don't fit right. i filled up 5 plastic grocery bags sofar...and i still have stuff inth ebasement lurking about. i have SO much stuff that i do not need in life that i have been lugging around for years. physical baggage, and now that i need ot unload soem mentl abaggage i am able to finally get rid of some things.
anyways i was listening to elliott, which was somewhat comforting but also very sad,and then i switched ot deathcab but i hav ecome downstairs for a moment adn i started to go through this blue rubbermaid bun full of random paper items.
one thing i pulled out was this letter that a guy i went to horsecmp with back when i was liek 12 wrote to me. i find it mildly amusing and i am gonna throw it out now but i thought i would put it on here for a little documentation, and probably delete it later.
so here it is: it must have been written in 1996.
" Dear Tiah,
How's it going? I don't know if you remember me but I went to Wallowa Horse Camp twice with you. Anyway I was cleaning my room for a change and I came across the camp list with everyone's name and address and phone number and I was going through it and I saw your name and decided to write you and see what's going on in your life now. Have you been to many things like that camp since the last one?Know what I never told you or anyone else this but I thought that at the last camp you were hella fine.I was too shy then to say anything but anyway. WHat grade are you in? Your 16 now aren't you. You just had a birthday didn't you? On the 25th right? Well I am still older than you so ha! i will be 17 in December. Do you have your license yet?I now live in Washington in case you forgot from the last camp. I live in the small town of Walla Walla,WA. We have the famous Walla Walla Sweet onions. Do you remember that sketch you drew of me at the first camp I went to? Well I still have it.Would you be so kind as to send me a picture of you? Don't sweat it if you can't.Okay a quick update on what has been going on in my life since we last saw each other. I started high school.I'm in the 10th grade.I have my license and already been in one car wreck. I have also totaled my dad's new car so its gone. I have joined band. I play football,basketball and I throw the javelin. I am currently in 3rd place in the PNW on my horse. I have grown to be close to 6 ft now so I am not a scrony little shit anymore. And I have an exchange student for a year. Well that's sums it up about me so how about you?

ah adolescence. it's endearing to think that four years after your last contact with someone you would write them a note to tell them you had a crush on them. especially someone you barely knew.
